INTERNATIONAL COLOR QUALITY CONTEST

This international quality contest, organized by the World Printers Forum for newspapers and magazines, promotes print quality as per ISO 12647, ISO 2846  & WAN-IFRA Standard. It assesses a “Cuboid” quality test patch and visual quality (GPQ), judged by experts.

A publication will earn 1 star for each successful contest repeated annually. Accumulating stars over time enables eligibility for membership in the Star Club upon reaching 5 Stars, and the Millennium Club upon attaining 10 Stars. The winners will be honored at the World Printers Summit 2026, the premier annual gathering of print professionals in Rotterdam, Netherlands.

Publications worldwide can register entries in dedicated categories tailored to their printing processes

  • Category 1: Printed in “cold set web-offset standard (ISO 12647-3” on standard newsprint
  • Category 2: Printed in “Heat-set or UV offset on standard newsprint (semi-commercial)
  • Category 3: Printed in “Heat-set or UV offset” on GNP/ SC/ LWC paper (semi-commercial)
  • Category 4: Printing on own standard conditions (Ex: Printed on on tinted paper)
  • Category 5: Magazines printed using any of the printing processes

(Easy on shipping : European publications can submit their print samples to WAN-IFRA Germany office)
